Publications in our Series: Bote & Bock Historical Repertoire
Bote & Bock Historical Repertoire
This series presents neglected repertoire from the extensive archives of Bote & Bock Music Publishers. Founded in 1838, this long-established publishing house has always seen itself as a focal point of contemporary musical life in Berlin. World-famous composers, including Rubinstein, Liszt, Tchaikovsky, Paderewski, Mascagni and Reger, gave their works to this Prussian "music dealer to the royal court" for publication. Thus the name of Bote & Bock represents an important chapter in the cultural history of Berlin, from Romanticism, through the German Empire, up to the "roaring twenties". The Historical Repertoire Series seeks to revive some of these works and offers music lovers a valuable addition to the established repertoire.
