Orlando furioso
(2005) (Fifteen Songs)Margareth Obexer, Angela di Ciriaco-Sussdorff (G)
The songs attempt to recapture the narrative tone of an invented bygone troubadour age in new and colourful form. The mood ranges from the tender to the passionate, from the harmonious to the brusque. The counter-tenor, who objectively observes the events of the novel, enters the guise of a ballad singer who travels the courts of the world and relates people’s adventures, their strange meetings and great passions.
