In February 2005, there was a concert of music for violin at the Wigmore Hall, London to launch the Wigmore Hall New Music Fund, set up to promote the commissioning & performance of new works for that important international recital venue. Of the many pieces featured at the concert, four were world premieres, by Craig Armstrong, John Tavener, Joby Talbot & Judith Weir. With these, two of the other composers played, Richard Rodney Bennett & Witold Lutoslawski, are also represented here.
