Peculiar Honours, a collection of 101 hymns and songs, is intended to reflect and encourage the tradition of hymn writing within Congregationalism. Included are significant or neglected hymns by important Congregational writers of the past, hymns written by contemporary Congregationalists, and hymns reflecting key themes within Congregational thought such as the gathered church, the Covenant and the priesthood of all believers. For each hymn an explanatory note is given.
