An expressive setting of two lovely French carols in 2/4 and 3/4 time signatures. The first melody is handled with question and answer phrasing between the cornets and other sections of the band, while the second theme highlights both flutes and clarinets. A return to the first carol ends the work nicely. A refreshing change of pace for your holiday concert. (Grade 1 1/2)
