John Moss displays his depth of musicality and impeccable orchestrational style in this uplifting work composed in two main parts. The opening Prelude uses brief solos and rich sonorities to create a sense of anticipation. Revelation is in a faster and determined style and interweaves the percussion section nicely with the full ensemble while developing the main themes. The Prelude then returns for a calm and reflective ending.
