Written for the Toronto Children's Chorus, Ontario. I wanted a piece that would not be taxing to learn, accessible to young singers, but which would give ample opportunity for the kind of phrasing and interpretation that keeps even an advanced choir challenged. The violin part often gets the melody, and what a lovely and lilting Celtic melody it is - a 6/8 treasure to which I've put words that talk of the narrator's search for....something. For children's choir or women's choir (SSA), violin and piano.
