'Theo's Lullaby is a little piece written for my grandson Theo in memory of his great-great uncle who was a fine musician, and also called Theo. The left hand of the piano part has a gently rocking pattern throughout with the double bass finding its voice half way through the piece as it changes from accompanying pizzicato to a lyrical arco line.' (Sadie Harrison)

Originally for beginner bass, David Heyes suggested that versions for more advanced players would allow this lyrical, evocative and atmospheric gem to be played by bassists of all ages and abilities.
