For treble voices in two parts (SA).

The text of this piece, take from Phillippians, was selected by the composer because of its appropriateness and universal message of virtuosness that transcends any particular religion or creed. The music settting is purposely direct and somewhat limited in scope in that it was composed for an ensemble of younger voices. However, it is the composer's intention and hope that the piece will be performed by ensembles of all ages.

Think On These Things was commissioned by the Walter and Emile Spivey Foundation and the Atlanta Music Club especially for the inauguration ceremony of Dr. Richare Skinner as president of Clayton State College, Morrow, Georgia, in September 1994. The piece was first performed by the Spivey Hall Children's Choir, with Martha Shaw directing.
