Karl Fiorini was born and brought up in Malta – his musical journey began by studying with Charles Camillieri. He is now, amongst other responsibilities, composer in residence at the Conservatoire in Avignon.

Both concertos are played here by the soloists for whom the pieces were written – Salvador for Concerto No. 1 and Lelek for No. 2.
