Benjamin Britten's Cantata Academica Carmen Basiliense, Op. 62 was composed and dedicated to the University of Basle for the celebration of its 500th anniversary. The Latin text was compiled from the charter of the University and from older orations. For mixed choir, four soloists (SATB) and orchestra, presented here as a piano reduction by Imogen Holst.
