Whitlock, Val/Court, Shirley - Singing Sherlock 3 (Book & CD)
Following from the huge success of Singing Sherlock 1 and 2, this volume and its companion book Singing Sherlock 4 provide more exciting repertoire and ideas for primary singing.
As with the other books, this gives enjoyable and structured ways to teach music concepts and vocal skills, with no prior musical knowledge or music-reading skills required! - it is aimed at the non-specialist music teacher as well as the specialist.
Singing Sherlock 3 includes tried and tested songs which will inspire good singing in schools and youth choirs - and CDs of performance and backing tracks. Aligned to the requirements of Key Stage 1 (ages 5 to 7), it features "Sherlock in Concert" - show-stopping concert pieces to round off a period of study.

"The great strength of Singing Sherlock is the level of support it offers to the non-specialist. Every song has useful information and tips to help the children learn; questions for the children help them to evaluate and improve their own performance. Having used Singing Sherlock 3 with my reception and Key Stage 1 singing class for several weeks already, I have no hesitation in recommending it unresevedly."
