This Blu-Ray and DVD recording features Christian Tetzlaff as soloist in Birtwistle's Concerto for Violin and Orchestra with the London Symphony Orchestra under Sir Simon Rattle (LSO Live LSO3066).
This film captures Rattle's very first performance as Music Director; a Barbican programme in which British composers took centre-stage. In addition to the Birtwistle concerto are works by Helen Grime,Thomas Adès and Oliver Knussen together with Elgar's Enigma Variations, recorded live at Barbican Hall, London 14 September 2017.
