Covered deep in snow, the small village lies peacefully high up in the Swiss mountains. But not for long! For Chalandamarz is just around the corner, and the children have been waiting impatiently for a long time to drive out the winter, in accordance with the old custom, with the loud ringing of bells. However, Ursli’s joyful anticipation turns into deep frustration when he is handed, of all things, the very smallest goatbell, to the mockery of his companions.
He resolutely sets off to fetch the large cowbell from the isolated mountain pasture hut. But the steep path to it is dangerous. And when Flurina sets out into the icy snow in search of her brother, the adventure becomes increasingly precarious.
