Looking Ahead: On January 16, Mackey’s Concerto for Curved Space receives its world premiere with the Boston Symphony Orchestra and Andris Nelsons. Shortly after, Red Wood will be premiered by Delirium Musicum and Mackey himself on electric guitar on February 23.
April 21 sees the world premiere of Mackey’s RIOT with himself on electric guitar, mezzo-soprano Alica Olatuja, New Jersey Symphony, Princeton University Glee Club, and Xian Zhang.
