Programme Note
Paramirabo explores possible relationships between the four players of its ensemble. For much of the time flute, violin and cello play together in rhythmic unison as a sort of consort, their music set off against the more isolated piano; but all three break away at times for solo passages, as though wanting to express their individuality more openly.
