At the age of seven, Olga Neuwirth was given her first trumpet lessons. From that point of view, being her first work for solo trumpet, it certainly occupies a special position in her oeuvre. The world premiere of the demanding 8-minute piece took place at the 'musica' festival in Strasburg on 24 September 2006.
