‘This orchestral work uses the idea of the physical term interference, fusing different elements and techniques to create new, unexpected sounds, exploring the tensions and harmonies that arise between contrasting musical elements, and reflecting on the disturbances and changes that affect the creative process. Particular emphasis is placed on the special acoustics of the church and its interplay with the organ, orchestra and the room itself as central sound elements. The church and its organ are like an instrument "tailor-made" for this piece, and the listener seems to be in a "sound body" in another dimension, experiencing a unique dynamic sound image. In keeping with the tradition of church architectural acoustics, which sees music as a means of spiritual uplift, the work aims to transport the listener to a deeper spiritual and mental level.’ (Xiaoyong Chen)
