“An oasis is a quiet sanctuary that every person dreams of when they are tired of the storms of life. It is a place of peace, beauty and bliss. It is mainly travellers who dream of oases when they are exhausted from the scorching heat of the endless desert. What they dream of most is water - clean, cold, crystal-clear water! They see it in their dreams - in the form of streams, fountains, drops and waterfalls; it rushes and murmurs, it pours down in torrents and washes over their bodies and souls. The travellers dream of shady trees, bright red roses and delicious food served by beautiful women. They dream of hearing anew the melodious singing of the love gazelle. (‘Gazelle’ is the poetic form of a mugam; it is based on a certain structure of lyrical love poems from classical Azerbaijani poetry). But it is not so easy to reach this ‘Eldorado’.
