Page Turn

This piece was written in 2000 for the Sydney International Piano Competition and I chose a piece that showcased different techniques - overlapping hands, repetition and jumps - thinking that the harder the piece the more likely the pianists will choose it as it would show off their virtuosity.


However, on this point I was totally wrong.


Almost everyone opted for much slower and easier pieces, so apart from one very brave pianist, no one  in the competition who got to that particular round played it.
