• Aziza Sadikova was born in Tashkent in 1978 and began taking piano and composition lessons at the age of five
• Studied at the Tashkent State Conservatoire, then at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire and Trinity College, London
• In her works, she effortlessly skips over epochs as if in flight, but in her complexity and love of discovery, she sustains an unmistakable individual style
• Performances at the BBC Proms, the Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester Berlin, Orchestre National de France, Bachfest Leipzig, Wien Modern, Philharmonic Academy Concerts in Hamburg, Young Euro Classic, Kassel Music Days, Aspekte Salzburg, Klangwerkstatt Berlin and ReMusic Festival St Petersburg, among others
• Sadikova’s music is championed by conductors such as Kent Nagano, Omer Meir Wellber and Jonathan Stockhammer
• Received the Brandenburg Ministry of Education and Cultural Affairs Art Advancement Award and the European Composition Award
• BBC World Service featured her in their TV documentary “100 Women”
• Sadikova is composer in residence at the Filarmonica Arturo Toscanini in Parma for the 2022-23 season
