Born in Tulle, France now based in Paris and San Diego, California * since 1981 associated with IRCAM as reasearcher, composer and teacher * composer in residence with the Orchestre de Paris and National Theatre in Orleans * directed the European Music Academy of the Festival of Aix-en-Provence * his music has been conducted by Pierre Boulez, Esa-Pekka Salonen, Kent Nagano * commissions by Ensemble Intercontemporain and Ensemble Modern * prizes for composition by the City of Paris, SACD, French musical press and the state of Monaco.
