Leonard Evers
• is a composer and conductor
• after completing a bachelor in Comparative Literature at Leiden University, he graduated with honours in Composition and Arranging at Codarts Conservatory, Rotterdam
• is passionate about improvised, classical and contemporary music and pursuing direct, non-conformistic communication with the audience
• leads Amsterdam’s Ricciotti Ensemble, a student and amateur orchestra that plays in public and unusual venues such as marketplaces
• his own musical language integrates elements of jazz, world music and contemporary music
• compositions have been performed by major ensembles, including the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra
• literary background led him to music theatre and here to collaborations with, among others, the Concertgebouw, the Sonnevanck Theatre and the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra
• _Gold! _, his mini-music theatre for young audiences, experienced long series of performances at numerous theatres
• also wrote music for various film documentaries or for the Trade and Shipping Museum in Elsinore, Denmark
