
Johannes Boris Borowski
studied composition with Hanspeter Kyburz and Marco Stroppa, music theory with Jörg Mainka * was resident at the the Cité Internationale des Arts Paris and at the Wiepersdorf Castle * works have been performed by Ensemble Modern, Ensemble intercontemporain, International Contemporary Ensemble, Lucerne Festival Academy Orchestra, Chicago Symphpny Orchestra, Pierre Boulez, Susanna Mälkki, George Benjamin and Johannes Kalitzke (among others) * received various awards, including the Hanns Eisler Prize for composition and the Stuttgart Composition Prize * lives in Berlin and teaches music theory and analysis at the Hanns Eisler School of Music
