Chris Seidler

Chris Seidler studied musicology, philosophy, art history and composition as well as free painting in Cologne, and currently works as a freelance composer, arranger, stage director, singer and singing teacher. In addition, she organises exhibitions of her own works. Her musical Fellini, Fellini received its premiere in 1999. In 2001, Chris Seidler became a member of the artists’ council of the Yehudi Menuhin Foundation Germany for whose main project MUS-E, an arts programme for schools, she was responsible for music theatre at primary school. At her initiative, the Menuhin Foundation established the Gelsenkirchen Opera School with whom she has since collaborated on various artistic projects, including the premiere of her children’s opera Tomcat Moshe at the Kleines Haus of the MiR theatre, Gelsenkirchen.
