Scrutemur vias nostras, et quaeramus, et revertamur ad Dominum.
Levemus corda nostra cum manibus ad Dominum in coelos.
Nos inique egimus, et ad iracundiam
provocavimus: idcirco tu inexorabilis es.

Operuisti in furore, et percussisti nos, occidisti, nec pepercisti.
Opposuisti nubem tibi, ne traseat oratio.
Eradicationem et abjectionem posuisti me in medio populorum.

Let us search our ways, and seek, and return to the Lord.
Let us lift up our heart with our hands unto God in the heavens.
We have transgressed and have rebelled: thou hast not pardoned.

SAMECH
Thou hast covered in thy wrath, and hast struck us:
thou hast killed and has not spared.
Thou hast set a cloud before thee, that our prayer may not pass through.
Thou hast made me an outcast, and refuse in the midst of the people.
