Traditional (Sirett) - The Holy Ground (TTBB)

The Holy Ground is a traditional nineteenth-century folksong from County Cork, Ireland and is based on a Welsh sea shanty, “The Lass of Swansea Town.” Written for and dedicated to Diane Loomer, founding director of the male chorus, Chor Leoni, this is a reflective arrangement of what is often a boisrous “tavern song,” capturing the sad sentiment of the lyrics.
