Customer Reviews

"This is a beautiful setting of a timely Hebrew text from Jewish litergy. It is very singable for an upper elementary or junior high school chorus. There are two musical themes and they are sung separately and then together to create lush harmony. There is one error though in the guide to pronunciation: V'al is pronounced vuh (schwa sound) ahl with the stress on the "ahl". There is only one tricky rhythmic treatment of the text "al ha'emet", but that can be learned by hearing it spoken by the chorus teacher/conductor."

"The melody of this song is captivating. I first heard it sung by our All State Chorus and then by our All County Chorus. The students are always hesitant with another language besides their own. It didn't take long to realize the words fit the melody so well that the Hebrew is very easy to sing. "
