Night is one of the nineteen poems in the collection of English poet, William Blake. In this poem Blake evokes the tranquil atmosphere of night with pastoral images of a shining evening star, a smiling moon, birds asleep in their nests, and quiet lambs in green fields. Guardian angels watch over every living creature, alleviating sadness and imparting blessings and joy.
